INSTRUCTION MANUAL: MANDATORY FILE STRUCTURE
To interface with PROTO, your STASH must be structured according to the Four-Tier Hierarchy. The system will only index audio units that reside at the terminal level of this specific path.
1. THE ARCHITECTURE
Your Google Drive must follow this rigid sequence:
> Music > [GENRE] > [ARTIST] > [ALBUM] > SongName.mp3
2. THE PROTO-RULES
> STRICT PATHING: Any file located outside of an [ALBUM] folder (e.g., sitting directly in Music or Genre) will be ignored by the scanner.
> NOMENCLATURE: Spaces and special characters are permitted for all folder and file names.
> FORMATS: The system accepts .mp3 and .m4a files.
> AUTO-DATA: The system automatically assigns the Genre, Artist, and Album labels based on the folder names, and the Song Name based on the filename.
3. SETUP PROCEDURE (INITIAL BOOT)
> PREP_DRIVE: Organize your Google Drive into the Music > Genre > Artist > Album format.
> LINK_CORE: Open the SETUP tab in PROTO and authenticate your Google Identity.
> ROOT_SELECT: Include "Music" folder as a top-level folder in your Google Drive.
> DEEP_SCAN: Tap [ START SYNC ]. PROTO will crawl the hierarchy and build your library index.
> READY: Your STASH is now populated based on your folder organization.
4. (RE-)ENGAGE
> RESYNC DRIVE = Full guided setup workflow with instructions (for first-time setup or when you need a refresher)
> REINDEX LIBRARY = Quick, immediate re-scan of your library (for when you've added/removed music and just want to update the index)
